As Forró spreads far and wide across Europe, we want everyone to be up to date on all the news, history, music and culture surrounding Forró!

In this edition we’ll inform you about the call for projects from the Federation which is now open. We also write about degendering social dancing and we hear from two French Forró dancers about their experience in Itaúnas this year.

Before we start, are you already a subscriber of ForróLetters? No? This is your chance!

FoFed updates

Do you have an exciting Forró project in mind and you need support to make it happen? The Federation can help you!

Take a look at our call for projects!

The European Forró Federation is providing funding of 1800 euros each for two outstanding Forró projects. The projects must contribute to at least one of the Federation’s objectives and can be submitted by individuals or organisations based in Europe.

For all the practical details and conditions, visit the website www.forrofederation.com/call-for-projects or download directly here all important info and documents.

If you have any questions, you can send an email to projects@forrofederation.com

The deadline is Sunday 30th October 2022 at 21:00 CET so get your thinking caps on!
